Revenge from mars pinball pinbox3/16/2023 Ask them to test the SoL popper, it should preferably shoot the ball in the same spot each time or at least not straight down the middle. Make sure the colour of the screen is good, ask them to run a screen test. Cliffy makes a hole protector too.Īs long as it boots and plays well. I just rebuilt the entire skip ramp as mine was hacked together, and installed a new stroke of luck popper from mantis pinball. There are still plenty of spare parts available. The head and the cab, you could even take the playfield from the cab and take it in 3 parts. Yea the cabinet it heavy! I'd recommend transporting it in 2 parts. there are also solutions to replace the crt with a LCD monitor. There is pinbox which is a hacked version of nucore which allows you to do the same thing as nucore without the caddy. Replacing the PSU and CPU fan are a good start but it isn't necessary. Yes the computer is different to traditional pinball machines and it is incredibly difficult to find spares there are some fairly easy things to do which will increase the life of the pic. LEDs show as blown lamps though, they don't behave well at the top of the playfield either because of the dimming effect when the ball isn't up there. Just run diagnostics and it checks everything. The system has the best diagnostics too, tells you the particular lamp that is out, switch it broken, cool is failing. how's that the most difficult machine to work on? This is compared to traditional machines which solder EVERYTHING to the wiring harness making it difficult to take things out to work on them. just pull the connectors off the cool and switch and unscrew it from the playfield. Pretty much everything is quick disconnect, need to pull out the ball popper. Else it has the best method of lifting the playfield. It's the only machine that only requires to disconnect 5 connectors to pull the entire playfield out if that's your thing. This machine is incredibly easy to work on.
